I’d been hoping for a call about a co-op experience for this coming spring, and yesterday it came. Jacobs Engineering’s “Engineering and Science Contract Group” has a contract with NASA (formerly held by Lockheed Martin), and they are taking up to 20 students each semester to co-op with them in Houston. The lady that I talked with on the phone said they’d be mailing out the formal offer letters in mid-November, so I guess I’ll get to play with something space-related if I end up down there. Whee!

I’ve been wanting to get out of Manhattan for a while… especially after this semester with all the crap that the leaders of our department have been pulling this semester. I’ll have a difficult time trying to schedule all my remaining classes into two semesters with the curriculum changes that they have shoved on us lately (requiring me to schedule three extra classes). Blah.
